Since the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) on March 23, 2010, how employers create and
administer their health plans is dictated by a new set of rules. And, yet, the rulemaking process has only just begun. PPACA
or "health care reform” will take years to become fully effective and requires creation of many new regulations. As health
care reform continues to develop, employers are asking themselves, “What are my responsibilities and what are the
financial and administrative impacts to my business?” Health care reform has magnified the fact that the cost and risk of
human capital is increasing exponentially. Employers must confirm that they are compliant with all existing health care
reform requirements and also begin preparing for future requirements to ensure their plans remain compliant financiallyreform requirements and also begin preparing for future requirements to ensure their plans remain compliant, financially
viable and attractive to employees.
HEALTH CARE REFORM TOOLS
To help you understand how health care reform will affect your organization, w e have developed a menu of health care
reform tools. Our tools provide you with a thorough examination of how the law will impact your plans and offers a cost
analysis associated with potential scenarios. We will also provide you with recommended next steps for creating or
