create a generic Smart Response
multiple choice quiz template which
you can customize for future tests
and quizzes.

to answer paper based questions.

Mistake
Limiting the use of Smart Response to tests and
quizzes that are projected onto a Smartboard.

6. Core Lesson
Open Smart Notebook Software.

7. Core Lesson
After you open Smart Notebook, Click on the
Response Tab and choose Insert Title Page…

8. Core Lesson
Give this generic template a very simple title such
as the one you see here. You can change this
later…

9. Core Lesson
Fill in your text/images here or just delete this
box…

10. Core Lesson
With your title page in place, click on the Response
tab and choose Insert Question…

Choose Multiple Choice and click next…

12. Core Lesson
Leave everything here blank and hit next…

13. Core Lesson
Choose the number of answers, typically 4 and
hit next

14. Core Lesson
Leave the answer set at A, you will change these
later.
Choose insert another until you have forty.

This is what you will see after inserting the first
question

When you have inserted 40 questions, click save
as and give the file a name such as “Multiple
Choice Quiz Template”

Choose a file
location you can
easily access, since
you will be
working with the
template often!
Hit Save.

Open Smart Notebook, click Response
tab
1
2 Insert Title Page, Questions Multiple
Choice
3 Name and Save the Template for future
use
