Notre orateur, Monsieur Lefebvre, a débuté son intervention par un constat : le secteur du bâtiment fait partie des secteurs les moins digitalisés, aujourd’hui.

En guise d’introduction, il a rappelé qu'à l’origine du projet, Spatiodata a été pensé comme le "Facebook du bâtiment" (collecte d’infos, partage de données). En effet, qu’est-ce qui caractérise le secteur du bâtiment ? Un ensemble de professions aux rôles évolutifs et qui interagissent autour du bâtiment (allant des fonctions de conception et d’ingénierie aux équipes de maintenance, …). Un tissu dense au coeur duquel Spatiodata a décidé de se placer pour optimaliser l’échange des informations entre tous les intervenants.
Evoquant le BIM, notre orateur en a souligné les atouts et limites, pointant notamment sa non adéquation avec les problématiques liées à la maintenance, son coût relativement élevé pour les PME…

Au cours de son exposé, Monsieur Lefebvre a présenté les différents types de systèmes existants, leurs forces et leurs faiblesses (BIM, no BIM, Internet of Things). Il a ensuite présenté la solution alternative proposée par Spatiodata, basée sur une approche de co-création. Au coeur du dispositif de la spin-off, se trouvent en effet des informations transmises à la fois par des objets connectés mais aussi par les êtres humains.
Insistant sur la nécessaire simplicité de l’interface (d’une grande importance pour les usagers ciblés), Monsieur Lefebvre a détaillé l’application multi-usages et « inter-opérable » de la plateforme développée par la spin-off.
