3. What is Historypin?
Historypin.com is a way for millions of people to come together to share small
glimpses of the past and to build up the huge story of human history.
4. Why was Historypin created?
Historypin was created to help people to come together from across different
generations, cultures and places, around the history of their families and
neighbourhoods, improving personal relations and building stronger
communities.
5. What are Historypin’s aims?
•
To get as many people as possible taking part in the history of their family,
streets, country and world.
•
To bring neighborhoods together around local history and help people feel closer
to the place they live in.
•
To get people from different generations talking more, sharing more and coming
together more often.
•
To conserve and open up archives for everyone to enjoy, learn from and
improve.
•
To create a study resource for schools and universities.
•
To be the largest global archive of human history.
