 A  proverb or adage is a short sentence
   that people often quote, which gives
   advice or tells you something about life.

   wisdom.

Idioms
 1.  A piece of cake: very easy to do
       I can fix your car in ten minutes. It’s a piece of cake!
 1.  Spill the beans: to tell a secret
       Pierre spilled the beans and told me about the
        surprise party.
 1.    Put one’s foot in one’s mouth: to say something
       embarrassing
         Think before you speak so you don’t put your foot in your
          mouth.
 1.    Green with envy: very jealous
       When I won the prize, all my friends were green
         with envy.

Proverbs & Adages

 1. Actions speak louder than words:
 What   a person actually does is more important
 than what they say they will do.
 2. Beauty is only skin deep:
 A person’s character is more important than
 their appearance.
 3. Better late than never:
 It is better to do something, even if it’s
 late, than to not do it at all.
