6. When you write a personal narrative, you can use first personal pronoun. Focus on your experiences, be descriptive about time and space, tell the experience why your experience is important.
7. When you write a biographical narrative, you tell the third person’s experience. You can interview the person. You can discuss why the experience was important for the person.

To do this, you should first learn how to be a good ethnographer of our own language and culture. For this project, you may observe a language interaction within your family or friends circle and/or interview your grandparents, your parents to see the kinds of languages, accents and dialects they have used throughout their lives. To be successful in this assignment, you need to learn how to observe the scenes carefully and develop a good understanding of narrative genre.
