persons without knowledge in some
professional fields

 ASEAN’s bodies programs: SEAMEO Youth
Leadership Forum (and similar for different
professions), AUN Youth Cultural Forum (limited to
some universities only)
 Inter-governmental programs: SSEAYP/Mekong
Sub-Region Youth Programs
 ASEAN’s civil-society-based programs: Mekong
Peace Journey/Mekong Riverbank Network/Vietnam-
Cambodia exchange programs
 Independently welcoming ASEAN delegates to
Vietnam through various organizations

4. What kind of sponsorship
 Fully-funded: limited for accepted presenters
or essay winners only, sometimes with daily
allowance besides free accommodation and
official meals or local transportation.
 Partly-funded: similar to fully-funded but
without roundtrip air ticket.
 Commercial: you or your supporter have to
pay for registration fee.

5. How to get involved?
 Open-minded enough (respectful to other
cultures)
 Be a good presenter (or essay writer)
 English proficiency
 Understand well the criteria of each program
 Have a good action plan to beat deadline
