- Dont clutter your slide with text and images. Keep the slides simple.
- Limit how much text you put on the slide. Too much text is distracting
- Avoid using the clip art in powerpoint and low resolution images.
- Having to many animations or slide transitions is distracting.
- Don't use the standard power point templates. Your audience has already seen them.
- Know how much information you need to use. Don't include too much.
- Color evokes emotion. Know what colors mean and how to contrast them.
- Use the same font in the entire presentation.
- Only use videos or other media where appropriate.
- Spend time organizing your presentation and making sure it makes sense with what your talking about.
