I've heard many Christians say the way to overcome challenges is through praise and worship (ie. sing it out). I'm more prone to focusing in on Biblical study. What's your take on this? I've posted details on my perspective on my website at www.joshuamethod.com Posted 22 days ago | Reply Privately Lonnie Guerrero Lonnie Guerrero you Business Development at Rainmaker Systems Matthew 11:28 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 1 Peter 5:7 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. The word says that the Lord inhabits the praises of his people. There have been many times during our mid-week service that I have not felt like seeking the Lord in prayer and offering up a SACRIFICE of praise but I always do and He is always there to provide peace and comfort whenever I do. I also have found that not only being in His word important but also the application part. We must abide in Him and submit in love. I have selected two scriptures, one from Matthew 11:28 and the other in 1 Peter 5:7, to describe what has also been most effective. I know that we can go to Him and cry out to him, fervently and passionately, and He meets us in that place and always has an answer and gives help no matter how big or small the issue. He may not respond exactly when we want but He will respond. Just cry out to Him with a passion and wait and hope in Him. He is good! 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31
