In 2008, 19 cities reported a 12% increase in
homelessness out of 25 cities surveyed.
There are approximately between 2.3 and 3.5
million homeless people in the U.S according
to a study in 2008.
58% were in homeless shelters, 42 were not.

6. Mission
Our goal is to provide the homeless an
opportunity to better themselves and the
community permanently. After going through
our program, our goal is for them to leave
with the proper job skills to carry with them in
the working world.
7. Vision
We strive to provide 30 homeless people each
semester with a temporary job at the
university, and then send them off into the
working world prepared to be able to keep a
job and be successful in life.
If our initial project works at Texas, we hope
to use this same program and implement it
into several other universities in the United
States.

H.E.L.P provides homeless people with
temporary employment, housing, and food
through the University of Texas, and in return
the homeless will clean the surrounding area
in the University until the semester is over.
H.E.L.P is based in Austin Texas.
Work with Recycle Bank to make sure they
collect all the recyclables and pay the
homeless the proper amount.

The main problems that are being solved are
the problem of
unemployment, homelessness, and waste
build up in community
We do this by sheltering the homeless, and
employing the unemployed to clean up the
messes that affect the local ecosystem

13. Cleaning up the campus
Work day will be divided into two shifts
– Morning 7-11am
– Afternoon/evening 2-7pm

14. Costs
5 meals a week at campus dining hall for 30
people would be a little over $24,000.
15 2 person rooms would cost
$15,000, Includes sleeping area and
bathroom.
T-shirt and shorts for all 30 people would be
$750.
15. Franchise Growth
If our company is to expand, we have to see
success over a five year time period. If success
is shown, then we plan on expanding our
model to several other universities throughout
the U.S.
