Hi im Kaylee I am 11
years old. My Hobby is
Dirt Biking. I am writing
about Lions because I
think they are a very
interesting animal and
because they are the
king of the jungle. In
the summer I like to
play with my dogs and
my Best Friend Julia.
3. Who Am I?
The largest Lion was to
be nearly 700 pounds
and 11 Foot long.
The oldest Lion On
Record was nearly 29
years old.
A Lions eyesight is five
times better than a
persons eyesight.
A Lion can hear pray
from a mile away
4. The Early Years
Lions can have up to 5
babies. Lions baby sit
each others cubs to!
They have babies once
every two years. The
cubs are eating meat
by three months and
are continued to be
nursed three months
after. Did you know
that a baby lion can
have babies at the age
of four!
5. Habitat sweet Habitat
Lions live in grass lands
in the jungle and trees.
When They go hunting
they leave their new
borns under the tree or
some place else. They
will leave their babies
with some other lion
sometimes.
6. What’s on the Menu?
Lions eat
Zebra,Wildebeest, and
Gemsbok. The lion Will
take bigger animals
than its self like
Buffalo, Giraffe, and
Hippo,and young
Elephants. Lions eat
Birds, Reptiles, fish and
even insects.
7. Making Tracks
The lions tracks are
just like a cats just
bigger. You would
find the lions tracks
in sand most of the
time.
8. Simply Irresistible
There are nearly
50,000 lions alive
today.
When a male lion
joins a pride, he
sometimes kills
other cubs.
9. Were in the world?
Lions are mostly
found in Africa and
live in the grass
lands and some
times in the desert.
10. Did you know?
Did you know that a
lions roar can be
heard from five
miles away.
The gestation
period is about 110
gas.
Lions can go four
days with out
drinking.
