HIV is the virus and AIDS is the disease, many people think
it is the same but actually are two different things. HIV
(Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) was identified in
1981 and has killed more than 30 million people. In 2012 the
number of AIDS deaths fell to 1.7 million last year, down
from 2.3 million in 2005 and 1.8 million in 2010. The goal is
that by 2015, there is a 90 percent reduction of infection in
children. The resources available for HIV reached 18,900
million dollars in 2012. However, UNAIDS expected to reach
24,000 million dollars in treatments in 2015 .

Today science opens the door to people of low and middle
income so they can treat this disease. Each person is
responsible for these percentages do not rise and that people
can have a healthy life or try. I always knew that Africa was
the highest country in people with this disease and viruses,
but in part we must understand that they are people with no
resources and sometimes are violated women and are
infected with this virus. In conclusion, UNAIDS report
annually handles all these procedures to differentiate each
year, as is improving or worsening this situation.
