1. EXAM ANXIETY

2. Topic
• I chose exam anxiety as it’s very relevant to many
Leaving Cert students that would be attending an open
day.
• As I get anxious about exams, I found it interesting to
research and see the advice people would give.

3. Persona
• Sally is a 17 year old
Leaving Cert student.
• She is experiencing
severe anxiety due to
the upcoming exams.
• She finds that when she
is stressed, she does not
perform to the best of
her ability and doesn’t
want this to happy with
the Leaving Cert.

4. Data Collection
• I used an online survey to collect my data which made it

easy to keep the information relevant.
As there was 14 questions, I split them into two surveys:

Participants gave answers based on a scale from 1 to 5, 1
being not at all true and 5 being extremely true.
I chose the most interesting questions to represent on my
infographic.

5. Data collection
• As well as scale question, I asked the open ended
question, “Do you have any advice for current Leaving
Cert students in regards to dealing with exam anxiety?”
• Although some of the answers given weren’t helpful,
some were sound advice and I provided a tip on each of
the screens.

6. Design
• I based my design on
a student’s desk, to
incorporate the theme
of exams.
• I used a simple font to
imitate handwriting.
• As all the information
is kept on the sheet of
paper, a lot of white
space was used to
emphasise the text.
