- 2. 2 Key Terms • At-Large Structures (ALS): groups of individual Internet users all around the world • Regional At-Large Organizations (RALOs): AFRALO, EURALO, APRALO, NARALO, LACRALO • At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC): an advisory committee to ICANN - with a mandate to "consider and provide advice on the activities of ICANN, insofar as they relate to the interests of individual Internet users".
- 3. 3 What is the work of ALAC ? • Provide Advice to the Board of ICANN; • Communicate At-Large perspectives to ICANN public comment requests • Initiate PDPs and providing input and advice that accurately reflects the views of individual Internet users; • Issue comments on any subject, process, structure, policy or topic which it deems important to policy development and execution; • Takes part in cross-community working groups (CWGs) within ICANN • Promoting outreach activities in the community of individual Internet users; Inform community about significant news from ICANN; • Offering Internet-based mechanisms that enable discussions among members of At-Large structures
