important dates in the Colombian history.

2. The War of a Thousand Days
This Civil War was one the one with the most lack
of military strategies, armament and professional
preparation. The governmental army and the
rebel troops didn't have any military strategies,
they didn't know where the war was taking place,
so they centred themselves geographically in
Santander but also expanded to other places.
3. The War of a Thousand Days
The armour used to fight in the war was the
"machete". It was really important to have a great
ability using it. The people who fought this war
where lead by "caudillos", which were poor
people with no professional preparation.
This useless and bloody war led to many important
facts. It was unhelpful because their convictions
were not enough to win the war. It was
murderous, more than 80000 people died, of a
total population of 4 million.
