2. Purpose
Provide opportunities for pre-service
teachers to plan STEM-based learning
opportunities for K-6 students in after-
school and/or Saturday sessions.
3. Why?
Need to prepare future teachers that
have confidence and knowledge in the
fields of Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Mathematics that in
turn encourage their own students to
excel in these fields as well.
5. Who?
Integrating Instructional Technology in the
Classroom (FOED 3010)
2 Sections – total of 34 students
Students were challenged to work in groups of 2-3 to
develop these problem-based STEM activities that
address state and common core standards and the
diverse needs of children including their social,
emotional, linguistic, or physical development
ranging from K-6th grade.
