This document summarizes research into capturing family recipes digitally for sharing across generations. Focus groups and food diaries with older adults, and questionnaires and interviews with younger adults, explored how recipes are currently used and collected. Findings showed that kitchen space is limited; recipes are used more for inspiration than literal instruction; and collections exist in various physical forms but rarely digitally. Future research proposed testing design variables and participatory design with different generations.
