5.1 Which computer system does the company have?
In my observation company there is no network, Because every computer has other programs. Each
department has other takes. They are not planning to make a network. If they need information from each
other, they send a mail. They have intel Pentium. The operating system is Office 7 professional, because in a
normal word packet not all the programs are present. In they company the computers are new. Since the
company Van Den Bossche moved 1 year ago, all the computers are totally new. There are in total 10
computers at the department.
5.2 Does the company use the different services of the internet?
The company uses the services of the internet. Because they have their own website
www.vandenbossche.be
on the website you will find information of the company e.g. promotions, photographs and opening hours.
They also use email. The company doesn’t have an online shop. That is a little bit difficulty in selling kitchens.
5.3 Which application programs are used and for which goals?
The programs they use on their computers are: “bouwsoft”, “autofit”,” master wood”, “auto cad”
they use these services for designing and drawing kitchens. They mainly use Word and Excel for
making orders. they also have their own accounting program who made by their accountant. They
programs are al fairly expensive but are very good. They company stil uses cable connection Lan.
There is also wifi.
