CWS Permanency Placement
Permanency Placement (PP)
In Tulare County, when a child cannot
safely return home to the parents, a
permanent plan is needed for the
child. A permanent plan for a child
could consist of adoption, legal
guardianship, or a Planned
Permanent Living Arrangement
(PPLA). A child in the PPLA status
continues to have their situation
evaluated for permanency with one
of the permanent options sometimes
includes the possible future return to
the parents if and when the child can
be safe in the parents home.
CWS Family Reunification (FR)
Family Reunification (FR)
Family Reunification Services (FR) in
Tulare County provides time-limited
services to families whose children
cannot remain safely in the home
and have been placed by the Juvenile
Court in foster care. The goal of
reunification is to help the family
correct the problems that led to
removal so children can be returned
safely to the parents care and
custody. A service plan with family-
specific services is developed with
the families in-put in meeting specific
criteria to assure their ability to safely
and appropriately care for their
children.
