2. Synopsis
Dark face is a teen drama based on the hit movie
Catfish. 16 year old Amy has fallen head over heels
for the coolest guy in school… but has she?
An insight into the world of teenage social media.
We follow Amy as she develops a relationship over
Facebook and text messages, but who is the person
on the other side? Is Shaun really who he says he
is? Can Amy trust the people she calls friends?
3. Catfish the movie
In late 2007 film makers Ariel Schulman and henry
Joost sensed a story unfolding as they began to film
the life of Ariel's brother Nev. The had no idea that
their project would lead to the most exhilarating and
unsettling months of their lives. A reality thriller that
is a shocking product of our times. Catfish is a
riveting story of love, deception and grace within a
labyrinth of online intrigue.
4. Target audience
Our target audience is both male and female. The
main characters are both male and female; the male
audience will be able to relate to Shaun. Female
audiences may be attracted to romantic elements of
Shaun and Amy’s relationship, and may also find
Amy’s vulnerability and sensitive nature appealing.
Our target audience age is 14+ because social
networking is a key element in their lives and cyber
bullying can affect them and their peers and this film
can educate them on the harsh realities of the
outcome of bullying.

Shaun- the coolest guy in
school
Amy- the unsuspecting quiet
girl and a victim to cyber
bullying.
Layla- Amy's ‘friend’ who
betrays and backstabs her to
get revenge on Amy from the
past.
Dean- the dark hooded figure
behind the computer screen
passing off as Shaun.
