August is here, the month to
balance the books... For you, dear tourists, who
finally enjoy your deserved holiday, and also for
the people who live on the island who can see
the fruits of their hard work! We hope Duran
Duran’s Simon Le Bon gets well soon. We were
going to interview him, but we’ve had to
postpone the interview for the time being
because the band had to cancel their 30th
anniversary tour, due to Le Bon’s serious vocal
problems. It’s a real shame, because those
people who like me are “Wild Boys” at heart
would have enjoyed a performance by the
original band on the wonderful terrace at
Amnesia and we’d have had the honour of
featuring the group in our magazine. Anyway,
you’ve got nothing to worry about because in
this issue we have lots of interesting people and,
as we do every month, we tell you what’s going
on all over the island. And, most importantly,
you are always the stars of the show!
Ha llegado agosto, mes en el que
hay que cuadrar las cuentas... Para vosotros,
queridos turistas, que finalmente disfrutáis de
vuestro merecido descanso, ¡y para nosotros de
la isla que podemos ver los frutos de nuestro
trabajo! Queremos desearle a Simon Le Bon de
Duran Duran que se mejore pronto. Nos había
concedido el honor de una entrevista que
tendremos que aplazar a fecha por definir, igual
que se ha suspendido la gira para celebrar los
30 años de carrera de la banda, a causa de un
serio problema con su voz. Me da mucha pena
porque los que como yo se sienten “Wild Boys”,
hubieran disfrutado de una performance de la
formación original en la fantástica terraza de
Amnesia y del honor de tenerlos en nuestra
revista. De todas maneras no os preocupéis
porque en este número tenemos a muchos
personajes interesantes y como siempre os
contamos lo que pasa en la isla y lo más
importante es que ¡vosotros siempre sois los
protagonistas!

Why Dubfire?:
I was heavily into dub reggae when I was younger
(and to a great extent still am!). I also didn’t want to
use my actual name as it was too ethnic-sounding.

In 1991 you met Sharam Tayebi and started Djing
together as Deep Dish. Do you think this project is

able to carry out within the boundaries of Deep Dish

6 islas. Además, hace 50 años esta zona era la
más trendy de Ibiza, la zona gay.
¿Qué tipo de comida ofrecéis a vuestros
clientes?: Napolitana. Todos nuestros productos
llegan desde Italia. Somos los únicos en las
Baleares en tener un horno original de piedra
vulcánica del Vesubio que llega hasta 500 ºC.
Tenemos un excelente café italiano, helado
artesanal y también la famosa pastiera, un
postre típico napolitano.
