2. USE OF THE PASSIVE VOICE
In the passive voice the important
is the action, and not, who makes
Do you
wash
your car?
No I don´t. The car is washed
for me. Now, I am not
important, now is it.
3. USE OF THE PASSIVE VOICE
To pass the active voice sentence at the passive voice
you just have to:
1º. You must change the order of subject and object.
2º. You must add the auxiliary verb “to be” in the tense of
the active voice.
3º. You must add the participle of the main verb.

5. USE OF THE PASSIVE VOICE
What is need to form the passive voice?
We will remember:
In the active voice matter who does the action.
In the passive voice the important is the action.
1º In the passive voice we use the object of the active voice sentence as subject.
2º We conjugate the verb “to be” in the righ manner.
3º We add the past participle (pp)
We´re going to see its estructure:
Object + verb “to be” conjugate + PP + complement
6. USE OF THE PASSIVE VOICE
Active to passive transformation
1º In the passive voice we use
the object of the active voice
sentence as subject.

Active: They read the newspaper every day
Passive: The newspaper is readed every day by them
COMPLEMENT
2º We conjugate the
verb “to be” in the righ
manner.
3º We add the past
participle of the
active voice (pp).
4º If you want to say at the end of the sentence
who has done the deed, you simply add the
preposition “by + subject agent”.
But beware!
Remember, when you have
as subject to a personal
pronom, before you must
change it to a pronom
object.
