We surveyed people in Solihull Sixth Form and the town center about media pressure and body image. We asked if they would want to look like a celebrity, and if girls or boys face more pressure. Boys and girls responded differently. Through these vox pop questions, we aim to understand real experiences with media pressure and create a documentary highlighting its effects, in order to help people love their own bodies and realize their uniqueness.
1. Vox Pop Questions
1. If you could look like a celebrity, who would it be?
2. If you could look like them rather than yourself, would you?
3. Do you think girls or boys face more pressure from the media?
We asked the public these questions to get a overall view of the amount of people
who are suffering from pressure from the media. We wanted to find out whether
there was a distinct pattern of if boys say a different thing to girls, which they do. We
hope that we can persuade people to love the body that they on and realize that they
are unique and should love that.
We asked people within Solihull Sixth Form and also people around Solihull Town
Centre as we considered miss en scene because there are many clothes and make-
up shops around Solihull. This means that the people we ask are a representative
sample so we can get a honest and truth view.
This will definitely help us with our documentary overall as it can enable our
audience to understand people that actually suffer with pressure from the media so
they are gaining ideas from people that are going through real life experiences.
