This document provides an overview of electrostatics and related concepts: 1) It describes how charges can be imparted through induction, friction, and contact. Coulomb's law states the force between charges is directly proportional to the product of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. 2) The electric potential difference between two points is defined as the work required to move a charge between those points. Equipotential surfaces have the same electric potential at every point. 3) An electric dipole consists of two equal and opposite charges separated by a small distance. The dipole moment is a measure of the dipole's strength and depends on the charge magnitude and distance between charges
