Student Voice It was great when it came to finding a job...everything was against the nursing competencies so all I had to do was go over it and it was done...I knew what I had to offer the organisation.  Nursing student, 2008 I value what QUT has done for me. I still use this [ePortfolio]. I have got two jobs now because of my ePortfolio... I can talk about what I can do because I can reflect on what I have done and think about my experiences. I know what I am capable of. It really is great...I’m going to keep doing it. I didn’t really think about how all these units were contributing to my overall professional development until I had to reflect on them for the ePortfolio presentation... Professional Staff ePortfolio http://www.hrd.qut.edu.au/ePortfolio/ Building a personal ePortfolio can help you to develop a deeper awareness of yourself and your abilities. Reflecting on and recording your experiences will help you to recognise and review the knowledge and skills that you've developed as a result of those experiences. You'll also be better able to identify any skill areas in need of improvement.
Professional Staff ePortfolio Although participation in the QUT Professional Staff ePortfolio is entirely voluntary it can be used to enhance the process of Performance, Planning and Review for Professional Staff (PPR-PS) by recording your annual objectives and progress towards goals within the ePortfolio application and by informing discussions with your supervisor about areas requiring development and appropriate development opportunities.  When applying for secondments, promotions or even external positions, prospective employers will ask you for evidence of the skills and attributes they are looking for...

Student Voice It was great when it came to finding a job...everything was against the nursing competencies so all I had to do was go over it and it was done...I knew what I had to offer the organisation. I can talk about what I can do because I can reflect on what I have done and think about my experiences. I know what I am capable of. It really is great...I’m going to keep doing it. I didn’t really think about how all these units were contributing to my overall professional development until I had to reflect on them for the ePortfolio presentation... I like that it is being assessed because it is real-world, I am actually learning how to reach my goals. Postgraduate Information Technology student I’ve done so much. I can see how I meet those beginning standards and I will be able to talk to the EdQ [Education Queensland] people about this at my interview.   • 20. Professional Staff ePortfolio http://www.hrd.qut.edu.au/ePortfolio/ Building a personal ePortfolio can help you to develop a deeper awareness of yourself and your abilities. Reflecting on and recording your experiences will help you to recognise and review the knowledge and skills that you've developed as a result of those experiences. You'll also be better able to identify any skill areas in need of improvement.

Professional Staff ePortfolio Although participation in the QUT Professional Staff ePortfolio is entirely voluntary it can be used to enhance the process of Performance, Planning and Review for Professional Staff (PPR-PS) by recording your annual objectives and progress towards goals within the ePortfolio application and by informing discussions with your supervisor about areas requiring development and appropriate development opportunities. When applying for secondments, promotions or even external positions, prospective employers will ask you for evidence of the skills and attributes they are looking for...
