A quick guideline on the principles and procedures for adding content to the Making Europe Virtual Exhibit

1. Content selection

• Picture editor (Katherine Kay-Mouat)
– Selects images for books and helps with VE
– works from picture list (keywords, locations,
objects)
– access to collections?

3. Dynamic content
• Set up RSS feeds
• mark online content, metadata in English
• Keyword lists (from picture lists) as point
of departure
• the more automatic the better
• Rule of thumb: 2 working days
• Other actors: student groups, interview
projects, etc.

4. Involvement
• Modes and input level vary: can be simple,
can be more
• Harmonize with existing plans, systems
and workflows
• Matching expertise/communication
• Broaden network: what other
collections/partners would make this
richer?
