Joined Salalah methanol as a panel operator (methanol) & I am actively involved in this
PETROCHEMICAL PROJECT(Utility/Methanol)from erection work like reformer tube
inspection & erection, distillation column(both L.E.C & H.E.C.) installation & tray
installation, Catalyst loading of Jacob Top fired Reformer, HDS/ZNO Reactor, Methanol
Casale convertor internal fitting & convertor catalyst loading jobs. Salalah methanol project is
based on JACOB TECHNOLOGY.

SYNOPSISSYNOPSIS

Worked as a “Panel Executive“ for M/s Reliance petroleum Ltd. at Jamnagar, Gujarat
since 17th
july. 2007
At present working as panel executive in unsaturated LPG gas separation unit, Olefin
and Di-olefin unit, propylene recovery unit (2 trains), selective hydrogenation unit,
olefin-section, nit riles recovery section, methanol recovery unit.
Worked in the precommissioning and commissioning of PLC systems of H2S recovery
section and driers systems. .
As a panel executive, I was responsible for Quality related activity such as a production of
valuable products and maintaining the plant parameters and attaining the production
targets.
C5 feed stock diolefin content hydrogenated to olefin and reacted with methanol to form
tertiary amyl methyl ether which is used a octane booster the same unit comprises of
methanol, Nit riles, recovery section, SHP reactor, Re-run sulphur recovery section,
TAME reactor and distillation with reaction column (pentene column).
To Maintain Stock Report, plant status, updating the process parameter values in the APC
controller as well as handling the Real-time optimizer and reporting of production reports
to production managers , HOD, site sector chief’s and to the management committee of the
refinery
Operation includes daily sampling, Gathering data, Pump Change over, Line ups, Pump/
System isolation, Monitoring smooth and safe running of equipments etc.
Handled LPG pumps and propylene compressor (heat pump compressor) capacity of about
12, 63000 nm3/hr, propylene driers and treaters, splitters, reboilers, strippers, reactor,
condensers, flare systems etc.
On hand experience of F & G Panels, ESD Interlocks & Trips, Unit start-ups and
Shutdown procedure. Also include Work permit system, BSC checklist, equipments
maintenance related preparing SAP work permits and other planning.
Handling equipment like Distillation columns, Centrifugal pumps Compressors, Steam
Turbines, Fixed bed reactors.
At present daily production report preparation job and reporting to head of the department
and complex about plant status are done as part of panel executive job
Working knowledge of plant operations module of SAP R/3 package.
Ensuring adherence to quality standards of DuPont of PSM safety procedures, SAP – R3
procedures & maintaining all related documents.
Identifying areas of quality failures and taking steps to rectify the system wide preventive
and corrective actions to avoid the reoccurrences.
Practicing quality standards with key emphasis on improving quality and improvement
opportunities.
Identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipments through
application of trouble shooting techniques
Ensuring HSE systems are in place before starting a job, ensure proper use of tools and
PPE, conduct regular site visits, advice co-workers on potential hazards, check safety
equipment, notify management of unsafe working conditions, report HSE incidents,

apparatus, Escape sets, On Line Breathing air sets and cartridge mask.

compressors (HPC), regeneration system of propylene driers and H2S absorption treaters
Experience in tray erection and old trays replacement jobs, eg: worked in World’s largest
C3splitter column which consists of about 188 ECMD trays and about 104 meters height
and 8 meter diameter.
Worked in catalyst removal and new catalyst filling in propylene driers & treaters, olefin
section catalyst, reactor catalyst and methanol treater catalyst. Worked in catalyst

At present member of the district safety committee and got four best near miss reporter
awards from complex level in Jamnagar reliance refinery complex.
Involved in the sour gas stripping and H2S removal section in Selective hydrogenation
plant.
ESSAR OIL LIMITED oct-2004 to july-2007
4. Essar oil limited producing LPG, Naphtha, Kerosene, ATF, diesel, fuel oil, from crude
distillation column of world’s tallest (97mts) single crude column of 10.5MMTPA
capacity.
Worked as a commissioning field cum panel Operator.
Successfully executed the commissioning of the refinery.
Responsibilities:
Crosschecking & monitoring the functioning of field equipments like Pumps,
Compressors, turbines and Heat Exchangers. Updating the field logs in LLF (look,
listen & feel) package.
Ensure that all process assets are operated in a safe and efficient manner, in line with
agreed plant operating philosophies, and in line with current process Procedures and
practices.
Act as Area Authority and validate for permit to work activities within area of
responsibility.
Troubleshooting the technicalities in the running, static and stand by equipments.
Managing the emergency situations like power failure, equipment failure & fire accidents.
Highlighting day-to-day operational problems and carrying out necessary modifications in
order to increase the productivity of operation.
Up keeping the maintenance history cards of individual and carrying out the necessary
modifications.
Developing failure analysis incident report for all incidents which lead to process upsets or
plant shutdown.
