Quality and Hygiene Systems
Hatzopoulos implements Quality Management
System according to ISO 9001:2008, which totally
covers the activities and operations of our company
intended for the planning and development,
production and quality control, sales, supervision of
products after being sold, which is applied to our
entire product range. In parallel Hatzopoulos strictly
applies Food Safety Management System
(HACCP), as ISO 22000:2005 and BRC/IoP.
19. Environmental Policy
We have fulfilled major investments in solvent
recovery and solvent abatement systems to
reduce any negative consequences that our
activities might generate to the environment.
In addition we have implemented concrete
policies according ISO 14001:2004 for the
protection of the eco-system. In 2009 we
worked in the Carbon Disclosure Project,
measuring and controling the CO2 emissions
of our major activities, setting up goals and
action plans for the reduction of those
emissions.
20. Hatzopoulos Corporate Social Responsibility
• Hatzopoulos family deep roots in Northen
Greece made the company contribute a
lot in the preservation of the Museum of
Macedionian Struggle and Culture, one of
the most important historic museums in
Thessaloniki.
• The Papafeion Orfanage of the city has
repeatedly received donations from the
Company.
• 100% of our products in line with
internationally accepted guidelines for
foodsafe packaging.
Hatzopoulos has been awarded with the ‘Elliniki Axia’ (Greek Merit)
award in 2011 for its contribution in society.

Through our partnership with:
We are a SEDEX (Social Ethical Data Exchange) member since
2009. This is a data platform offering companies to measure
performance regarding corporate responsibility. Topics such as
labour relations, safety and hygiene, environmental and business
activities are in the scope of SEDEX.
Since August 2010 Hatzopoulos is a participant to the
United Nations Global Compact, the largest corporate
citizenship and sustainability initiative in the world with more
than 7700 participants from 130 countries. With our participation
we embrace and we stay committed to align our business
operations with the ten universally accepted principles of Global
Compact in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and
anti-corruption.
