2. What is Karate? It is an Okinawan martial art. A person who practices this art is called karateca.

3. Types of techniques There are two types of techniques: The first is calledkata. It is a series of blocking and kicking techniques that run certain air against no real opponents.Thekata is the foundation of traditional karate training.
