Free school meals make a huge
difference to almost 2 million children
in the UK but when schools are closed
so are the kitchens... MakeLunch is a
network of churches working to fill the
holiday hunger gap.

22. Norfolk Strategic Needs Report
2013 Summary
Almost 47,400 Norfolk residents live in
areas which have been classified as
being amongst the 10% most deprived
in England.
These areas are in Great Yarmouth,
Norwich, Breckland and King’s
Lynn and West Norfolk.

2013 Summary
Nearly 50% of children under the age
of 16 in the Nelson Ward of Great
Yarmouth live in poverty and over 30%
of children in Norwich live in poverty.

2013 Summary
Across Norfolk 18.2% of all children
live in income deprived households
which in real terms means 26,000
children in Norfolk.
This is much higher than the 11%
across England.

Explore the power of choice and the
power that decisions have on shaping a
person’s future.
Practical sessions about feelings,
willpower, convictions, boundaries and
respect.

I have Purpose! 'I have a hope and a
future‘
Purpose is examined through exploring
hopes, dreams and desires. Goal setting,
discussions on potential and talents and
practical activities are used to equip and
build confidence to live out a purpose-
filled adventurous life.

Courses: ShineGIRL (girls aged 12 – 17
years) & ShineWOMEN (women aged 18+)
• Course Duration: ShineGIRL – 9 weeks /

• Session Length: 1 – 2 hours depending on
group
