 Educational Technology is given varied
meanings by many writers, researchers,
experts, and practitioners in this field.
 Educational Technology is a profession
like teaching. It is made up of organized
effort to implement the theory, intellectual
technique, and practical application of
Educational Technology (Johanssen, et
al, as cited by Corpuz and Lucido, 2008).

3.  It is also the considered implementation of appropriate
tools, techniques, or processes that facilitate the
application of senses, memory, and cognition to enhance
teaching practices and improve learning outcomes.
 Thus, Educational Technology can be simply stated as
the effective application and utilization of technological
developments towards the teaching learning process. It
includes instructional and curriculum design, productive
implementation, and evaluation of appropriate resources
for learning.

1. Technology allows for 24/7 access to information
Through the use of technology, students can
now access information anytime and everywhere. It
may help students in doing their tasks like
researching for their projects or assignments, and
etc.

Technology help us in having a constant social
interaction. Through some social networking sites, we are
able to interact with others. We are able to chat our
friends and for students, they are able to ask their
classmates if they have assignments or etc.
3. Easily created and shared digital content
With the help of the technology, information can
be easily shared with others. Through this shared
information and technology application/instruction, it
can help to meet the needs and interests of the
students.

1. Improvement of Teaching
Educational Technology help to the improvement of teaching
as it analyses the process of teaching thoroughly. It tries to find out
the different variables of teaching, their interlinks, effects upon each
other, phases of teaching principles and etc.
2. Analyses of the Teaching-Learning Process
Educational Technology tries to establish better relationship
between teaching and learning.

Educational Technology help to the improvement of learning
as it analyses the process of learning and the related theories. It
facilitates more of learning in less time.
4. Enhancing Goals of Education
Everything in this universe is undergoing tremendous
changes and with a very fast speed. Educational Technology helps
in enhancing the right objectives in the light of the changed
circumstances and changed environment.

It is important to train the teachers as there is a
change in the curriculum and materials to be used in
teaching. So, Educational Technology can render its
valuable help in the training of teachers.

Education sets its goals. One of the things that can
help attain its goals is the type of curriculum used.
Educational Technology can develop a suitable curriculum
appropriately.

One of the important factor in teaching-learning process is the

environment. As todays generation, mostly of the students getting
engaged in technologies. So, Educational Technology can be a big
help to foster student’s learning.

In teaching, teachers uses strategies. So, strategies has to be
the right one that can able to bring effective teaching-learning.
