Zero Waste and the Municipal Solid Waste Combustion Moratorium
• MassRecycle attended EEA meeting on SWMP; November 26, 2012
• EEA opened public comment on the proposed modification of the
solid waste combustion moratorium; deadline of February 15, 2013
• In response to our membership, MassRecycle began developing a
forum for discussion to be held during our R3 Conference
• MassRecycle submitted a formal request for extension of the public
comment period until R3 to facilitate discussion
• EEA responded with an extension until March 1, 2013
