Primary content Research:
Most of my primary content that I intend to use in my documentary will be from first-hand
experience and my own knowledge. When I was younger (at primary school) my parents knew
something was disagreeing with me, but weren’t sure what it was or what it was doing to me. After
visiting allot of medical professionals about it, I was finally told I was allergic to gluten by specialist at
Great Ormond street.
My understanding of Gluten is very large, mainly because I suffered from Gluten, so it was in my best
interest to understand it. The other key primary content for my documentary will come from
medical experts and doctors I have seen over the past who have all helped me to combat my allergy
and discover what was affecting me in the first place. Some of these people I still keep in contact
with, because they’re curious about how I and the GF diet are going.
This is why I chose this topic in the first place for doing my documentary on. It makes sense to
choose something to talk about that you understand and have a great knowledge of, rather than
choosing something that may look fun to talk about but something I have barely any knowledge of.
A large majority of my primary content research will also be coming from experts on Gluten and
people who are victims of Gluten. I will be interviewing these people getting their views and
knowledge of the topic.
Secondary Content Research:
Although most of my research which is being put into the documentary is coming from primary
content research (first-hand experience and knowledge and interviews with experts) I will most
likely come across some areas in the topic of Gluten which I do not fully understand. To counter this
problem I will use knowledge from the internet and books. At the moment the best source for
information on Gluten I could find was Wikipedia. I will link the website below.
