6. Procedure
We talk about the title and the illustrations
The teacher reads the book slowly
The teacher asks about each scene :
▪ Which animal is it? Where does it live?
▪ What colour is it? Which other animals are there?
The pupils write simple sentences like e.g.
• Bees like flowers
• The fire is red
• The sand is yellow
• Cows eat grass
7. Procedure:
We work with the book we have done:
Where do they live?
1. Teacher asks:Where do...live?
2. We read together by repeating the
sentences.
8. Pupils colour and cut out the animals and cut
out the trees and plants of each environment
using templates.
They work in groups and each group does
one habitat as a poster: sea, forest, jungle,
savanna.
9. Work with the Cuisinaire rods to teach
numbers
10. 1. The pupils fill the gaps in the sentence which
we give them. For example:
-The fire is ...............
2. Role play:
I’m a ......and I live in.....
I’m a ......and my colour is....
3. Board game:
The cat
