Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an influential Austrian composer of the Classical era known for his more than 600 compositions across many genres including symphonies, concertos, chamber music, piano works, operas, and choral pieces. He showed musical talent from a very young age and toured extensively in Europe as a child performer before settling in Vienna, where he achieved fame but struggled financially. Though he died relatively young at age 35, Mozart left behind a vast body of work that had a profound influence on subsequent classical music composers.
