2. What are ethics? Ethics are when a person decides what is right, wrong, good or bad. Then they choose what to do in a situation. Ethics are similar to morals: people’s ideas about what is good or bad.

4. Business Ethics Business ethics is how a business works every day in the world. A lot of business ethics is about money. Big corporations may pay a lot of money to bosses and not much to lower workers.

5. Environmental Ethics Environmental ethics are concerned about the world we live in and the environment. For example: cutting down forests, energy efficient vehicles, oil drilling, etc. Environmental ethics are very important as humans continue to use the world’s natural resources too quickly.

6. Medical Ethics Medical ethics is how medical professionals (doctors, nurses, psychologists, etc.) decide what is right or wrong for their patients. The Hippocratic Oath.

7. Work Ethic Work ethic is the most famous type of ethic. A person with a “good” work ethic: works hard, keeps trying, is not lazy, and thinks hard work is good for you.

8. Animal Ethics Popular as “animal rights.” Animal ethics means animals should be treated as good as people. Many people think animals should not be used for food, clothing, entertainment or research subjects.

9. What are manners? Manners are how people are supposed to behave. Good manners mean you are proper, polite and refined. Manners are similar to laws but there is no punishment for bad manners other than people may disapprove of you.

10. Manners change over time. What used to be considered “good manners” may be happen today. Also, manners are different depending on where you live in the world.

11. One popular type of manners is “table manners.” This means how you eat meals at home or in a restaurant. Table manners are very different depending on where you live.
