  1. Oracle’s EA principles are designed around 2 core concepts: Agility and SustainabilityTo achieve agility and sustainability, the enterprise architecture needs to be:Business-driven – many organizations have started EA initiatives from a technology perspective, focused on enterprise standards, project gating and compliance to corporate standards. To build a sustainable enterprise architecture, it needs to be rooted in an organization’s business strategy. For example, you need to first understand the operating model you want to implement for your business i.e. the level of standardization and integration To build an enterprise architecture you need to focus on building the future state of business processes and capabilities, rather than modeling current stateTime to Value – should focus on enabling line of business projects and demonstrating business successBest Practices – a sustainable enterprise architecture should strive to provide the organization with industry best practices and reference architectures
