2. Adding Release Date
Following my audience feedback, I decided to add a
date of release onto my film poster.
Conventionally, these are included beneath the billing
block, thus, my decision to position it here. I used the
font Penelope Anne; this was also used on the cast
members names. I duplicated the layer to make the
type face bold. Following these screen grabs, I also
added an apostrophe into ‘valentine’s’.
3. Changing Quote
My T.A criticised my original quote - they felt it was too
long and was not relevant to the film. Using the same
font as before, I changed the quote to ‘a heartwarming
tale of young love’ - this represents the genre of
‘coming of age’ and the sub-genre of romance. ‘Young
love’ shows that the relationship is between two
teenagers.
4. Adding Social Network Links
I decided to include social network links. This decision was not
influenced by my audience feedback but through my intention to
create further appeal. Teenagers/young adults stay connected through
the internet- I felt by adding such links, I would be able to increase
hype prior release (pull media).
I sourced both a Facebook and
Twitter logo from Google
Images. I copied both into my
Photoshop file, and resized by
clicking on
Edit>Transform>Scale. Using
the font Penelope Anne, I then
added in the links.
