The document discusses Melissa Davila's opinions on various album covers. For covers she likes, she notes distinctive settings that catch attention, such as animals in space on a Capital Cities cover and a mysterious boy on rocks for an Imagine Dragons cover. She also likes a Mumford & Sons cover that shows the band sitting sophisticatedly amid rushing people. A One Republic cover depicts animals beautifully in vivid colors. For covers she dislikes, subjects appear uncomfortable or bizarre, such as a man in strange clothing on a Kevin Rowland cover and elderly women covered in sour cream on a Sour Cream cover. A Jay Ferguson cover also fails to engage with an old look and bizarre posing.
3. Capital Cities:
I Like this cover because it is set in a
very distinctive way. Overall it is very
unusual, animals are not supposed to
be in space. This catches the audience
attention, they would want to listen
to the songs.
4. Imagine Dragons:
I like this cover because it is
very simple but at the same
it is very deep, and gives us
a sense of mystery. You
don’t usually see a boy by
itself standing that high in
some rocks. We can notice
he is looking at something,
and makes us want to know
what it is.
5. Mumford & Sons:
I like this cover because it has a
lot going on, and the setting
looks like a place in Europe. I
like the way the four members
of the band are sitting there in a
very sophisticated way, while
people behind are rushing and
running.
6. One Republic:
I like this cover because it
shows us the beauty of animals,
and is set in a very particular
way. The colours are very vivid
and bright which catches the
audience attention, but over all
is displayed in a very
sophisticated way which makes
us want to listen to their songs.
8. Por primera vez TINO:
I really don’t like this cover
as it makes me feel
uncomfortable, and really
the design and the cover
together don’t make sense.
And the cover looks old,
with that colours and font.
9. Kevin Rowland:
I don’t like this cover because
overall it is wrong, the thing he
is wearing and the way he looks
is not usual for a man. This will
scare the audience off, and it
will not make them want to hear
his music.
10. Sour Cream & and Other Delights
I don’t like this cover because
sour cream is covering their
bodies, and it looks bizarre.
Also they are elderly women,
who should not be doing this.
They should be more refined.
This won’t be a good selling
product, as it will make the
audience uncomfortable .
Also the colours chosen and
the font don’t go well
together.
11. Jay Ferguson:
I don’t like this cover because it
doesn't have anything which
makes it catch the audience
attention. Furthermore, the man
looks bizarre in the way he is
posing, also the cover looks old,
the man and the font do. This
will not attract young costumers
and this is very important
because they are the ones who
by CD’s.
