STEVE JOBS
Model Leader
Micaela Kemerling
CLASSIFICATION
 I classified Jobs as a North
  person for many reasons.
  Although my first thought
was to classify him as a
  West person, after thinking
about it, it made more sense
  to make him a North
  person, for he was very
  perseverant in pursuing his
  career and making the best
  of his intelligence. No matter
  what, Jobs kept moving
  Apple forward.
SUPPORTING DETAILS
 “Steve was aghast: Apple was his life, and he
was effectively kicked out of it. After four months
spent traveling and trying out new ideas, he
came back in September with a plan: he would
start a new computer company aimed at higher
education, with a small group of other ex-Apple
  employees.”
 This supports my claim that Steve was clarified as a
North person because although he was kicked out of his
I chose this picture of an
own company, he didn’t let that stop him. He persevered
                                                                     escalator going
and came up with a new plan over the time he was not a downwards because I
part of Apple. He was determined to continue his career figured with such the
in inventing, and didn’t want to keep his intelligence strong perseverance Jobs
locked up. This trait is stated in being a North person, for had, if this was the only
in the definition it says: “Perseveres; not stopped by way to reach his
hearing “No”; probes and presses to get at hidden destination, Steve would
                                                                     walk up the down
      resistances”
                                                                     escalator to get there no
matter how or how long it
                                                                     took.

 “Although iPod changed the music
industry and the way everybody listen
to music, the most important change it
carried was probably that of Apple.
The wild success of iPod proved to all
  the company's employees, starting
with Jobs himself, that they were right
to strive for perfection and ease of
  use.”
 This supports my claim that Steve is
clarified as a North person because if he
      wouldn’t have continued and persevered
through his hard times, Apple would never
have been where they are today. This
article states that the iPod changed the
music industry along with the company of
Apple. Thanks to Steve Jobs, Apple
      advanced more rapidly than planned.
SUPPORTING DETAILS
 The resurgence of Steve's cancer was a painful
reminder that it was time to 'put his affairs in order'
before his passing — and he did. He made sure that
Apple was ready to operate without him: in late
2008, he hired the dean of the Yale School of
Management to create 'Apple University', a sort of
internal business track to groom future Apple
executives by exposing them to the Apple ways of
doing business, through actual case studies in the
  history of the company.
 This supports my claim that Steve is classified as a North person
because he didn’t just give up and accept the fact that he was
going to die soon, and his company would eventually be without
him. He took the time to prepare his company and co-workers for
his death, which is very generous. Although he was ill, he still took
action and was prepared. North people act quickly, and Steve
acted quickly when he knew he was ill and that his company
needed to get ready for his disappearance. Also, North people
usually think in terms of the bottom line, and by preparing his
company and colleagues for his loss-- he thought of the worst
        case scenario and acted fastly.
