The scene depicts Rue's death in The Hunger Games. It shows Katniss finding Rue trapped in a net and releasing her. A contestant from District 2 then shoots an arrow at Rue, but Katniss shoots the contestant first. Rue is then shot by another arrow and dies. The scene is presented linearly in a single location in the forest, with no flashbacks, graphics, or cuts between multiple narratives. Katniss is established as the hero who tries to help Rue, while the contestants who shoot arrows are portrayed as villains opposing the hero.
