The Return of Israel

After Centuries of Exile,
  They Came Home!
            By J. R. Church

The return of the Jews to reestablish
their national homeland is one of the
most important fulfillments in all of Bible
prophecy. Many Old Testament prophets
wrote about this event. Among them was
Jeremiah, who gave a description of Is-
rael’s unique return:
“Turn, O backsliding children, saith the
Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will
take you one of a city, and two of a family,
and I will bring you to Zion” (Jer. 3:14).
                      Please note the detail
“one of a city, and two
of a family ...” This is
                   exactly what happened
                   in the late 1940s when
                   the beleaguered Jewish
                   people fled the ravages
                   of war-torn Europe and
                   Germany. Oftentimes a
Jewish immigrant would be heard to say
something like this, “I am the only one in
our family from Berlin who has survived.

After Centuries Of Exile, They Came Home! - Prophecy In The News Magazine - November 2008

  • 1. Find us on the Internet - www.prophecyinthenews.com The Return of Israel After Centuries of Exile, They Came Home! By J. R. Church The return of the Jews to reestablish their national homeland is one of the most important fulfillments in all of Bible prophecy. Many Old Testament prophets wrote about this event. Among them was Jeremiah, who gave a description of Is- rael’s unique return: “Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion” (Jer. 3:14). Please note the detail “one of a city, and two of a family ...” This is exactly what happened in the late 1940s when the beleaguered Jewish people fled the ravages of war-torn Europe and Germany. Oftentimes a Jewish immigrant would be heard to say something like this, “I am the only one in our family from Berlin who has survived.
