Location privacy in Location Based Services (LBS) is the capability to protect the connection between user’s identity, uncertainty sources, servers and database, thereby restraining an impending attacker from conveniently linking users of LBS to convinced locations. Smart Phones have become most important gadget for maintaining the daily activities, highly interconnected urban population is also increasingly dependent on these gadgets to regulate and schedule their daily lives. These applications often depend on current location of user or a class of user. Use of Smart Mapping technology is also increasing in large area; this system provides an easy attainable online platform that can be used for accessing many services. This survey paper projects the privacy-preserving algorithm to find the most favorable meeting location for a class of users. GSM calculates the location of all users.

Abstract: Web services describe a standardized way of integrating Web-based applications over an Internet protocol backbone. Mobile devices are getting more pervasive and it is becoming increasingly necessary to integrate web services into applications that run on these devices. We introduce a novel approach for dynamically invoking web service methods from mobile devices with minimal user intervention that only involves entering a search phrase and values for the method parameters. The architecture overcomes technical challenges that involve consuming discovered services dynamically by introducing a man-in-the middle (MIM) server that provides a web service whose responsibility is to discover needed services and build the client-side proxies at runtime. The architecture moves to the MIM server energy-consuming tasks. Such tasks involve communication with servers over the Internet, XML-parsing of files, and on-the-fly compilation of source code. The MIM Server programmed with the intelligence to identify a set of services whose collective functionality can serve the user’s request. We perform extensive evaluations of the system performance to measure scalability as it relates to the capacity of the MIM server in handling mobile client requests, and device battery power savings resulting from delegating the service discovery tasks to the server. Intelligent web enabled devices proliferate our households and work environments and brought a Web of Things to life. However, while almost any device has virtual representation the web itself is not yet a very physical place. Bringing proven spatial interaction and ubiquitous computing paradigms to life using current web technology we designed IndianaJS1, a JavaScript framework to add a physical browsing experience to any web of things content. The IoT-Compass, built on top of our library, shows that the “wow factor” of web-based hyper-reality can still be achieved 15 years after the first implementations. Today however, tra- ditional browsing paradigms can be augmented to feature a physical browsing experience with the Web of Things without requiring special devices and infrastructure. Our lightweight framework design, prototypical interaction components and our use case evaluation just show how little is needed to bridge the interactive gap towards the web for a better user experience within the Web of Things.

A web service is an autonomous software that exposes a set of features on the Internet, it is developed and published by providers and accessed by customers who discover it, select it, invoke and use it. Several research policies have been implemented such as searching through keywords, searching according to semantics and searching by estimating the similarity. A customer is looking for a service for the operations he/she carries out, hence the interest of guiding the search for services towards a search for operations: finding the desired operations amounts to finding the services. For this, groupings of similar operations would make it possible to obtain all the services that can meet the desired functionalities. The customer can then select, in this set the service or services according to its non-functional criteria. The paper presents a study of the similarity between operations. The proposed approach is validated through an experimental study conducted on web services belonging to various domains.

Web Services are self-describing services that will perform well defined tasks and can be accessed through the web. Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is an architecture paradigm that focuses on building systems through the use of different Web Services, integrating them together to make up the whole system. The Micro-service style is an approach to develop a single application as a suite of small services, each running in its own process and communicating with lightweight mechanisms. Preferring Micro-services over others, it makes the work on both client and server side smooth. This paper explains about the emerging Micro-services - which is the practice of applying SOA principles at a small level of granularity. This implementation idea explains how the Anna University result webpage can be divided using micro-services for easy access of results to students.

In the EPCIS REST-Adapter project, we propose seamlessly integrating this network into the Web by designing a RESTful (REpresentational State Transfer) architecture for the EPCIS. Using this approach, each query, tagged object, location or RFID reader gets a unique URL that can be linked to, exchanged in emails, browsed for, bookmarked, etc. Additionally, this paradigm shift allows Web languages like HTML and JavaScript to directly use RFID data to fast-prototype light-weight applications such as mobile applications or Web mashups. We illustrate these benefits with a JavaScript mashup platform that integrates several services on the Web (e.g., Twitter, Wikipedia, etc.) with RFID data to allow managers along the supply chain and customers to get comprehensive data about their products.
