Suzanne Collins was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1962. She is best known for writing The Hunger Games trilogy about a dystopian nation called Panem that is divided into 12 districts and the Capitol region. The series explores themes of oppression, rebellion, and survival under a totalitarian government.
