2. History From paleolithic the man one fed on chestnuts and acorns. With the expansion of the culture of chestnut tree by the Romans, its fruit became the base of the feeding of the population, as much as fruit fresh, dry or ground to make flour. 3. Visits to the cemetery The day of All the Saints and, mainly, the day of Deceaseds, the 2 of November, people are going to the cemeteries to visit the tombs of the ancestors, to adorn themselves with flowers and to fix her outer aspect.
4. Panellets The origin of panellets as eaten characteristic of the festival of All the Saints is little clearly. They can be a memory of old funeral meals: in some places people took panellets to the church in baskets and she ate them within the same temple in community. In the populations of old Catalonia, there was the custom to celebrate a food after the death of some relative. This food had a ritual character in the form to put the table, the distribution of the companions at table and the meals that occurred.

8. The Chestnut The Chestnut seller usually imagines with the figure of a chestnut seller: an old woman, dressed in poor clothes of shelter and handkerchief in the head, before a toaster of chestnuts for the sale in the street.
