7. Defensive Tactics Course Description This 40 hour Defensive Tactics course is a subject of police officers control. It was developed through , legal, and medical research. The purpose of this training program is designed to provide the officer with knowledge and skills to utilize that force, which is REASONABLE, NECESSARY AND PROPER under existing conditions. Total time will be allotted for classroom instruction, physical fitness and exercise, practice defensive tactics training.
