percent on monday. Traders stated that strong buying have

Guarseed futures slumped as traders locked in profits after
the IMD noted south-west Monsoon is expected to hit the
country on time this year, arriving in Kerala on June 1st this
year. Monsoon is expected to be below normal due to El
Nino factor.
Jeera eased from its intraday highs but remained broadly
supported amid fallingarrivals. Spot Jeera is holding above
Rs 18000 levels amid worries over local output.Tight arrivals
in major trading centres have kept Jeera supported in last few
weeks. Jeera closed at Rs 17875 per quintal, up0.34% on the
day.
