1. How to organize a LC meeting
A LC meeting is one of the few opportunities for the EB to communicate with the whole LC
and to pass on important messages. Because of that it is extremely important to organize
interesting and well planned meetings and not to underestimate the advantages of this
platform.
1. Goals of LC meetings
Education of members
Communicating important information and messages
Motivation & Inspiration
Receiving input and feedback
Exchange of ideas
Get to know/ connecting
Creating awareness of important social and political issues
2. Preparing a LC meeting
- LC meetings should be planned at least one week in advance and if possible, try to plan all
LC meetings of a semester at the beginning of it!
- organizing these meetings does not necessarily need to be done by the EB: Why not making
a member responsible for preparing and presenting a session and sell it as a learning
experience? Of course, you still need to track and should give feedback afterwards.
- try to create a nice atmosphere in the room you are having your meetings: the room should
be just for AIESECers and without any disturbances; you don’t really need tables but have
instead chairs which you can move freely for having a circle of chairs for example
- having access to internet and a projector gives you much more options of how to deliver
your meetings
- start on time and end on the time you communicated before
- if you have not enough topics for a meetings, you can also have team meetings afterwards
and even have meetings with different teams together so you can use synergies and have
working interfaces (e.g. recruitment involves TM, Communication and OGX, so these teams
should have meetings together from time to time)
