In the last class you learned about the important parts of an introduction
and conclusion paragraph and drafted your essay on paper. Today you will
participate in a writers' workshop, in which you will type your essay into
Google Docs and get feedback on how to revise your essay.
Do Now:
1. Take out your introduction and conclusion to be checked.
2. Today is your final opportunity to work in class and get feedback on your research
essay. Take a moment to answer the following questions in your journal:
What will you do in order to use this time effectively?
What are some potential distractions that could prevent you from making the
most of this time?
Make yourself a to­do list for this class period.

4. Writers' Workshop Time:

1. Work on Persuasive Research Essay
2. Type essay into Google Docs

1. Conference with teacher and get feedback
2. Work on independent reading project
