2. Friday morning
• Early train to London Kings Cross
• (Obviously, a quick stop off at Platform 9 ¾…)
3. The Guardian
Once checked into our hotel, we’ll make our

newsprint – plus a workshop that will focus on
the skills needed for your year 11 exam.
4. • After lunch, we will head down to the
waterfront for a Thames river cruise for some
sight seeing and a guided tour on London’s
best-known sights
5. • Once done sightseeing, we’ll head to Forrest
Gump themed restaurant Bubba Gump for our
evening meal
6. • Then back to the hotel to try and get some
sleep….
7. • After breakfast at
the hotel, we get
the Tube to BBC
Broadcasting
House for a tour
around the BBC’s

Have a go at
reading the news
and weather on
the interactive
news set, and put
together your
own radio show
Saturday
8. • After lunch we will then meet
up with a coach that will take
us to Warner Bros Studios for
the Harry Potter tour.
• Step onto authentic sets,
discover the magic behind
spellbinding special effects
and explore the behind-the-
scenes secrets of the Harry
Potter film series.
• Located at the studios where
all 8 films were produced.
• Workshops include pitching a
film and how scripts make
their way to the screen.
9. Saturday night
• After the Harry Potter tour, the coach will drop us
at the train station to get the train home to
Liverpool Lime Street.
• Will probably be back Late Saturday night!
10. Will the trip run?
• The trip is only for Year 10 Media Studies pupils.
• Err That’s you guys!
• The trip will only run if sufficient numbers are
interested so if this sounds like a good couple of
days then we need to know as soon as possible
• Although the places we’re going are really fun,
the workshops will prove really useful for your
year 11 exam on the news industry
11. Cost?
• The cost of the trip is £250
• This covers all transport including Liverpool to
London return, London Underground and Harry
Potter coach.
• This covers your hotel stay with breakfast, entry
to all the locations mentioned plus the Friday
evening restaurant meal.
• The cost will not have to be paid in one go
• Very reasonable considering it can sometimes
cost up to £100 for a return ticket to London
alone! Not to mention London hotels…
12. Cost?
• To secure your place, a £40 deposit will be
required 2 weeks after Half Term.
• A further £60 would be due in January.
• Then final payments to come in between
February and March
• All ready to go, for the 1st
April! (Not a joke)
